  • My life reflects a kaleidoscope of visual
fragments and sensory evaluations. I am
    virtually everywhere, changing constantly.
Yet I express wonder when I contemplate
the miracle of human consciousness as I
hurl myself against the passage of time.
    The concepts of microcosm/macrocosm,
reality/illusion seep into my work and play
with the intention of illuminating matter into
    the poetry of visual dimension.
  • Implied motion has become the signature
trademark in my recent work. There’s
always the edge of balance/fragility. The
moment, though ever fleeting, re- emerges
as a memory that replays as a movie.
Seeing it expand and contract, navigating
through space, my work speaks metaphorically
as poetry. I conceive the vision
of that moment becoming a “still”, collapsing
time into a particular instant, frozen
as a sculptural image, an icon to memory.
  • My thoughts run the spectrum from the
absurdity of the accident of birth and
the happenstance of circumstance to the
capacity for human learning and reflection.
I engage in transforming the ordinary into
    the unexpected, contradicting my initial
inclination for order by considering a novel
point of view or scale to refresh perception
as a breakthrough to a new reality, bringing
myself clarity with each new vision.
