Ella Racing the Wind

ELLA RACING THE WIND

This unusual form presents a massive large stone that has presence and strength yet suggests movement.
The piece is a unique organic shape with angled edges that form a softly abstracted parallelogram. It is that parallelogram edge that takes the eye of the viewer around the piece and imparts a sense of movement.
The image has a timeless open feeling, with polished front and back reflecting light and surrounding color and revealing the depth and richness of the stone. The angled side edges maintain the rough character of the rock itself and present a thin wing–like appearance.

water tower fragments/steel
22 feet high

Movement is the inherent gesture.
